In this tutorial, we’re going to set up a Rewards Menu for your Unity 3D game.

We’ve provided a sample reward scene with your download package, and you can find information in our online documents, or within the included scene scripts on how to customize and create your own interface.

It’s important to note that the rewards functionality communicates with the ctalyst server, and that a limited number of rewards are saved onto the gamer’s device.

It’s also important to note there is a distinct difference between In-Game Rewards, which you as the developer will define and create yourself, and Real-World Rewards, which are automatically served and handled by ctalyst.

Importing The Menu Package

Let’s begin by importing the RewardsMenu.unitypackage  To do so, select Assets, Import Package, Custom Package.

Navigate to the RewardsMenu.unitypackage, select it, select all, and import.

This will import the RewardsMenu scene into your game.

Like and Dislike Coupons

The like and dislike functions are important and must be included.  However, you can customize and modify these to match the design of your game.

Coupons also include a link to the vendor’s website.  Should a gamer tap the coupon, they will be prompted to confirm navigating to the website.  This is all handled by the ctalyst RewardsMenu scene.  Again, you can customize and modify this functionality to match the design of your game, or use it as is.

Testing The Rewards Menu

Press the play button.  Any interactive or coupon serving ad campaigns will begin serving coupons and the accumulated rewards will display on the rewards menu screen.

That’s it.  It’s really that easy.
